Gov Abba Yusuf May Register for APC Membership Tuesday — Kano Party Chair

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Abdullahi Abbas, has said Governor Abba Yusuf may register and collect the party’s membership card on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Abbas disclosed this while addressing about 1,500 ad-hoc staff engaged for the APC e-registration exercise in the state.

He said the party delayed the commencement of the exercise to allow the arrival of the party leader in the state, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and Governor Yusuf, who are expected back in Kano after meeting President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.

According to him, the e-registration will begin immediately they arrive and will not extend beyond Wednesday.

Abbas urged the ad-hoc staff to register all interested persons without discrimination, noting that the party aims to surpass other states, including Lagos, in the number of registered members.

He added that local governments and wards with the highest registration figures would be rewarded, stressing that the exercise is crucial to determining party strength ahead of future elections.

The APC chairman said the e-registration would continue until the end of the month and called on party members to conduct the process with diligence and fairness.
