2027: Otti Seeks Re-election, Says Unfinished Work Drives Second Term Bid

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has said he would not have sought re-election in 2027 if his administration had completed its mission.

Speaking at his country home in Nvosi during a 10,000-man solidarity rally, Otti stated that his decision to pursue a second term is driven by the need to complete ongoing developmental projects.

He stressed that significant work remains in his administration’s efforts to transform the state, noting that there would have been no need for re-election if all set goals had been achieved.

The governor also criticised some opposition figures, accusing them of engaging in “politics of witchcraft,” while dismissing them as insignificant.

Otti, however, welcomed constructive criticism, urging critics to focus on practical alternatives rather than denying visible achievements.

The rally, organised by Dannie Ubani, was aimed at showing support for the governor’s second term ambition.
