Residents of Gombe State hijacked and looted a trailer carrying cartons of food items branded with the name of President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, last Sunday.
According to THISDAY investigations, the truck was overpowered at the Old Bauchi Motor Park junction along the Gombe-Bauchi road.
Reports indicate that the fully loaded truck was transporting food supplies meant for distribution by Seyi Tinubu during his planned visit to the state. However, his visit was later canceled for undisclosed reasons.
A viral video circulating on social media revealed the contents of the looted cartons, which included small bags of rice, macaroni, sugar, salt, and bottles of cooking oil.
