Ex-Kano Governor Kabiru Gaya Resigns from APC

Former Kano State governor, Kabiru Gaya, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a letter dated April 5, 2026, and addressed to his ward chairman in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State, the former senator representing Kano South said his decision was based on personal convictions and the best interests of his constituents.

Gaya expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunities and support he received during his time as governor and senator from 2015 to 2023, noting that his resignation followed careful reflection and wide consultations.
