Edo Governor Pledges 2.5 Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has pledged to deliver 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

The governor made the declaration in Benin City while receiving defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) who recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Okpebholo said the growing support for the APC in Edo is due to what he described as “visible and practical development” taking place across the state. According to him, the progress recorded by his administration has convinced many opposition members and supporters to join the ruling party.

He told the gathering that the state is already secured for the APC ahead of the next presidential election.

“2027 and 2.5 million votes are sure for Tinubu. The president should relax and come to Edo to commission projects, not to campaign, because the state is settled for APC.”

The governor also credited the federal government for supporting development in the state, saying many projects being executed in Edo are made possible through backing from President Tinubu.

To further prove his claims, Okpebholo invited Arise Television presenters Rufai Oseni and Reuben Abati to visit Edo State and inspect projects completed by his administration.

He added that the APC remains politically strong nationwide, noting that the party currently controls 31 states and expects more political alignments ahead of the 2027 elections.

Okpebholo reaffirmed Edo State’s loyalty to the ruling party and expressed confidence that the state will deliver overwhelming support for President Tinubu when Nigerians return to the polls in 2027.
