The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senators’ Caucus in Osun State has formally endorsed President Bola Tinubu as its preferred candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
In a joint statement issued on Tuesday and signed by Senator Kamarudeen Oyewumi (Osun West), Senator Olubiyi Ajagunla (Osun Central), and Senator Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East), the lawmakers pledged their full support for President Tinubu’s leadership and a second term in office.
The endorsement followed a meeting of the caucus, during which the senators unanimously commended Tinubu’s performance in governance, citing progress in economic reforms, infrastructure, and national security.
“We have witnessed tangible improvements in national security and a notable reduction in food prices—clear indicators of President Tinubu’s effective policy direction,” the statement noted.
The lawmakers described Tinubu’s agenda as “visionary and progressive” and emphasized their pride in associating with his administration.
“This endorsement is not merely symbolic—it represents our collective and unwavering confidence in President Tinubu’s capacity to fulfill the democratic aspirations of Nigerians,” the statement continued.
The senators stressed their unity, adding that there was no dissent within the caucus regarding their support for the President.
“The Osun PDP Senators’ Caucus is united in this decision. We stand as one.”
They concluded by urging President Tinubu to maintain and intensify his administration’s developmental efforts for the good of all Nigerians.
