The Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria, APROCON, held a capacity building workshop for counselors in Abia State on April 23, 2025.
The workshop held in collaboration with the department of guidance and counseling, Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, had in attendance distinguished personalities that make up the field.
In his opening remark, National President of APROCON, Prof. Osorochi P. Obi, stated “The workshop is not just timely—it is essential. Our goal is to enhance your competence, boost your confidence, and empower you to engage your roles with renewed vigor and professionalism. Capacity building is not just about acquiring skills—it is about transformation. It involves shifting mindsets, reawakening purpose, and reinforcing commitment. We envision that this workshop will not only sharpen your skills but also inspire you to re-imagine your approach, refresh your methods, and reignite your passion for this noble profession”.
The workshop had in attendance various speakers who engaged the audience on different vital topics beneficial to both counsellors and the general public.
