We Are Ready To Host NBA Conference, Enugu State Govt Says

The Enugu State Government has announced that it will host the 2025 Annual Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) at its newly commissioned International Conference Centre.

This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Tourist Board, Dame Rita Mbah, during a media briefing in the state ahead of the highly anticipated legal gathering.

The NBA had earlier cancelled its planned 2025 conference in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, following the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara and controversy surrounding the constitutionality of appointing a retired military officer as a state administrator.

Speaking to journalists, Dame Mbah expressed Enugu’s readiness to deliver a world-class experience to the NBA and its members, describing the hosting right as a major endorsement of the state’s growing reputation.

“The NBA’s decision highlights Enugu’s emergence as a leading destination for both business and leisure,” she said. “Thanks to the visionary leadership of Governor Peter Mbah, the state has witnessed remarkable transformation across key sectors.”

She further described the hosting of the NBA Annual Conference at the new International Conference Centre as a milestone achievement for both Enugu and the judiciary.

“The NBA’s presence in Enugu is more than an event—it’s a celebration of Nigeria’s finest legal minds in a city that embodies excellence, opportunity, progress, and the enduring legacy of our forebears,” Mbah added.
