APC Govs Visit Ex-President Buhari In Kaduna

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday paid a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.

The visit was conducted under the banner of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and led by its chairman, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State.

Addressing journalists after the meeting, Uzodimma said the delegation came to convey warm Sallah greetings to the former president and congratulate him on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

“This visit is symbolic and deeply rooted in respect, loyalty, and continued appreciation for the statesmanship, leadership, and legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Uzodimma stated, according to a release by Ismaila Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs), Gombe Government House.

He added that the APC remains united and committed to the principles of good governance which Buhari championed during his time in office. The visit, Uzodimma noted, was also an opportunity to wish the former president well as he settles into his newly renovated home in Kaduna.

Among the delegation were Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, and governors from Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Edo, Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti, and Benue States. The deputy governor of Jigawa State, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, and other dignitaries also joined the visit.
